This past weekend, I traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the Women's March on Washington. This was an event hosting over 500,000 women and supporters in one location, and over 3 million people worldwide. The morning began with a short metro ride into Washington, followed by the many empowering speeches given by figures such as America Ferrera, Gloria Steinem, Angela Davis and Janelle Monae. The afternoon consisted of marching and touring the area. While this was a women's march focusing on things such as equal rights, equal pay, and planned parenthood, to name a few, the march occasionally turned into booing and chanting about our 45th President, Donald Trump. This was an incredible experience and event that was very empowering and left me feeling like women can make a change in this world and fight for what we believe in. Here are 30 of my favorite shots from the day.
